Hi, I’m Joe.
A life led by curiosity, inspiration and the natural world.
I’ve spent much of my life following curiosity, inspiration and the natural world—from a farm in Maine to decades living alongside wild dolphins in the Bahamas and Hawaiʻi.
Along the way, I’ve become fascinated by what happens when we trust ourselves, trust life, and allow ourselves to become fully, joyfully alive.
And increasingly, I’m discovering something even richer:

For more than three decades, wild dolphins, whales and the ocean have been among my greatest teachers.
Living Oceans grows from that relationship—an ongoing devotion to being present with the ocean, listening, learning, documenting and inviting others into a deeper relationship with the living sea.
